Big Red is one of our favorite traditional red bell peppers to grow. The 3 or 4 lobed blocky bodies easily grow over 4 inches tall and wide, and have thick, sweet walls that make this variety excellent for stuffing. We also like to sauté slices of Big Red peppers with garlic and mushrooms, or even simply eat raw with hummus or other dips! Not patient enough to wait for these peppers to ripen? No problem! Harvest when green for a slightly less sweet, although equally tasty, bell pepper.
