One of our favorite summer treats is a slice of homegrown watermelon. There are hundreds of varieties to choose from, but this is one of the most unique! It is named for the yellow belly that develops on the underside of the otherwise deep green rind as the melons ripen. While the long name is fun to say, we have even more fun eating the sweet, red flesh of this delectable fruit.
