Also called Cocozelle zucchini, this easy to grow Italian heirloom produces high yields of delicious fruits. The dark green summer squashes are streaked with lighter green stripes and have a mild, nutty taste when harvested young. We love to sauté pieces of young zucchini with onions and flavor with salt, fresh herbs, or parmesan. Larger zucchinis can be cut in half and stuffed, roasted, or baked.
