Is there a fruit that is more symbolic of summer than the watermelon? We don’t think so, and we love to grow as many different varieties as we can. The Peacock watermelon is named for its lovely emerald colored skin, and has a sweet reddish-orange flesh that is so refreshing on a hot day! These 20+ pound fruits grow on relatively drought-tolerant vines and are especially suited for growing in the hot and dry southwest.
