This popular Southeast Asian eggplant is an ideal variety for a backyard garden! The small shrubby plants are compact and bountiful, producing tons of small, round fruits. The mottled purple and white eggplants are best picked when about the size of a tennis ball, and are excellent for baking, stuffing, or grilling. We also love this Chinese heirloom in curries. Eggplants can be overwintered in warmer climates, and can live for multiple years.
