This tasty Japanese carrot is becoming more and more popular in American gardens for not only its flavor, but also its growing habits. The extra sweet, 5-inch long roots are wide at the shoulder and taper down to a blunt end, allowing these carrots to grow in tougher soil than some varieties. The Shin Kuroda is also heat tolerant, allowing for an even longer carrot-harvesting period! Excellent for juicing, cooking, or simply snacking on raw.
