If you are new to growing corn, it’s important to consider what type of corn you want to grow. Trucker’s Favorite Yellow corn is a field corn, or dent corn, that is delicious for roasting, frying, or grinding into corn meal. The huge plants grow upwards of 10 feet in height, and produce ears of corn that are about 10 inches in length. For fresh eating, harvest early when the corn kernels are still milky. To grind into meal or to use as fodder for livestock, allow corn to fully mature and dry.
